Morning Star Lutheran Church is located in the town of Carstairs which is about 45 minutes north of Calgary, Alberta. Refer to our map for detailed instructions on how to find us. Morning Star Lutheran Church is affiliated with WELS Canada. WELS is the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, so called because its founders began their work in Wisconsin in 1850. Today it is the third largest Lutheran body in North America, with congregations in 5 provinces, 50 U.S. states, and with missions in 26 other countries. We believe that God has revealed Himself in the Bible. In it we can find all that we need to know for spiritual and eternal life.
